Communication is the key to health education of promotion of health and prevention of disease. Due to a high rate of illiteracy with completion of High school being the highest education level and unawareness of basic education on disease causes, prevention and treatment, the writer sought out to deliver this approach by applying the primary prevention method and educate the community on risk factor reduction which is the core culprit of health disparities e.g., smoking cessation, vaccination, sanitation and clean environment and safe sexual practices at an location where this minority community can be reached. The African American Registry notes that ââ¬Å"The Black Church has historically been a source of hope and strength for the African American communityâ⬠. Church on Sunday is practiced widely among the African American population due to itââ¬â¢s significant role in the Black history.
